A cruise down the Nile is a magical experience that will live long in the memory. The world’s longest river has helped sustain life in Egypt for more than 5,000 years, and its banks are abundant with historical sites. A Nile cruise allows you to relax in luxurious surroundings while seeing some of the world’s most awe-inspiring sites at the same time.
Typically, cruises run between Luxor and Aswan’s ancient city, with an itinerary spread over seven days or more. On the East Bank of the Nile, the boat will stop off at the Luxor and Karnak Temples, where tourists will be wowed by enormous monuments dedicated to the Theban Gods.
An excursion will be made to the Valley of the Kings, where Egyptian Pharaohs were laid to rest for more than five centuries. Here you will find the tomb of the mysterious Tutankhamun and learn about the legend of his life and death. Other stops on the cruise include the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the unfinished Obelisk close to Aswan and the Temple of Philae on Agilika Island.
